Kpro disconnect, car in limp mode

Post by JacOOLito »

- serial number: 6394
- ECU part number: 37820-PRB-A06
- KManager version: V.1.5.1
- the calibration: attached
- a datalog of a problem: N/A (See description)
- 2003 Acura RSX Type S
- JRSC 9psi, 650cc injectors

My car was running good since it was tuned back in February 2011. I started the car last weekend and it went straight to limp mode for some reason. I thought I have a bad spark plug so I replaced them a few days ago, that didn't work. I have a generic battery from Costco that was purchased less than 3 months ago so I'm hoping thats not the problem. I cleaned the grounding points. Also tried clearing the security and uploading my cal again with the immobilizer off but that also didn't work.

There seem to be a disconnect on my ECU since I cant seem to pull any DTC/Error codes, not pulling codes from an OBD2 scanner either. The car is idling really bad and the exhaust shoots a lil bit of gas when I start the car so I dont think driving it will be a good idea.

Can you guys help me out on this one? Does my car alarm have anything to do with KPro? I think my next step will be borrowing/renting somebody else Kpro. Please let me know if I can do anything else.

Thank you in advance.

Hello,

I was able to try my ECU on a stock RSX. The car cranked but never fully started.

Things I've done: Immobilizer disabled. Tried clearing the security and then uploaded the stock cal. Car cranks but wont go thru. MIL is lit up but not pulling DTC/Error code. Put in the stock ECU and the car started with no problem, no MIL.

Can you please advice me how to progress guys? Cant drive the car in the status its in right now.

Thank again.

Tried KPro Version 3.0.3

Unfortunately same results. The car still stayed in limp mode just like before.
I cleared security, waited a minute then uploaded my cal.

Weird change is I tried uploading with the immobilizer on and then off, and the
green key stayed flashing even after the car started. Normally it would disappear
when I turn the immobilizer on but this time around it stayed.

Need your advises again guys.

Thanks

Tried contacting you guys but tech support said that I need to do more diagnostics. He advised me to call back with the laptop and ecu ready. Guess, I'll try to do that tomorrow. Dont know if thats gonna help me though since I tried pretty much everything already.
