GM 3 Bar Settings

Post by HRTuning »

I'm trying to walk someone through the setup for his K-Pro... He plans on using the GM 3 Bar sensor... Do you happen to have the settings for scalar and offset for that particular sensor available or will one of the presets work with it correctly?

Thanks,
James

If you use a gauge and K-PRO at the same time you can know if one of the presets work fine ;)

I wouldn't trust this method... I'd rather have the real values...

The Motec setting is really close to the GM 3bar. The Motec has 1.66volts @ Atmospheric pressure and the GM has 1.7volts. And they both max out in the same neighhood.

GM 3 bar MAP

Sorry but we did't create a calibration for the GM sensor, but you'll find that the Motec sensor is very close. The problem that we have found with the GM sensor is that either each batch is calibrated differently or there are multiple variants of the 3 bar sensor possibly with the same part number. I think that one part number was superceeded by another last year. The voltage output at atmospheric pressure varies from 1.5V to 1.68V from batch to batch for the GM. For this reason we don't use GM sensors here. If you use one and then tune your ECU to that sensor you shouldn't have a problem.
