Question on Hondata reflash ECU

Will the effect of the Hondata Reflash happen immediately after i install it into my car or i have to wait for a few runs of my engine? I had installed the Hondata Reflash ECU but the vtec did not kick in when it reachs 5000 rpm. Please advise. By the way the part number of my ECU is 37820-RRB-A12 4744-141365. Thanks
