map scaler + injector voltage

Post by attack666 »

Hey guys started to finally learn how to tune. Got my self a well tuner to guide me but he asked me to get to a coupleof things:

-gm 3 bar map sensor scalar
- injector voltage compensation (using percision 1000cc injectors)

B16 Turbo civic, Hondata S300 Ofcourse

Now I don't know if I'm looking for maps or readings or what.

Hope you can help me to start learning.

If I'm not clear please ask me.

Thanks.

I am also a noob. Welcome. :)

From what I have seen and read, I believe the software prompts you for the original and CURRENT injector sizes...this way it will compensate automatically. I am pretty sure of this, but I am still trying to keep mine from running rich. I have been tinkering with that part of the software, but I can't remember what size my current injectors are..lol (US and JDM injectors are different?)

As for the Map: The map sensor measures pressure in "Bar"s. A stock honda sensor is 1.75 BAR (which is approx up to 12lbs of boost?, I forget..I'm a noob) if I have read correctly. Naturally, for bigger-boost-builds, you need a Map sensor that can measure more BARS so the ECU can know what it's workin with.

For better explanations, see my other thread in the "S300 software" forum on this site. I am collecting and posting useful info for myself and other noobs, and I am posting it all there as an educational reference for us.

Maybe us noobs will unite and help each other learn. So far, I have not gotten a single answer to ANY of my questions :(

We do not recommend using GM sensors as there are several different ones and there is no easy way to tell the difference and they are not interchangeable. You are much better off getting the Hondata plug and play 4 bar sensor.

Thanks TJ.

Spunkster..so there is not way i can get atleast a base of the map scaler and injector voltage?

you didnt mention anything about the injectors.

The "map scaler" is also in the "parameters/MAP" section of the software. It will ask you for a few settings and you will be given your answer.
