Fuel/Air Compensation

Post by tiger »

Underneath the Fuel Compensation tab in the parameters window, there are two tables for air compensation. However reading the help file this is what it says:

"As a guide the low load table is used below 3500 rpm at light manifold pressure, 2000 rpm at medium manifold pressure and 1000 rpm at high manifold pressure."

So if the air temp compensation tables for medium and high manifold pressures are only used below 2000rpm and 1000rpm, they would never be used for WOT situations, where you're above 2000rpm. Is this logic correct?

At WOT the high load table is used from 1000 rpm and upwards. At lighter engine loads, the rpm switch point progressively rises to a maximum of around 3500 rpm. It is like a VTEC window.

Ah, ok. And the window for medium would be somewhere in between the two others. That makes more sense. Thank you very much for the clarification.
