P72 ECU - OBD1 - O2 heater circuit inop - fix?

Post by Cynical 1 »

so, had a mishap with some road debris, and it affected and shorted out the O2 heater circuit on my obd1 P72.

i have tested all wires, and it it pointing towards the heater circuit control in the ecu as being bad.

is this repairable, or is the ecu now junk?

also - if i were to want to chip this with a hondata s300 (which can disable o2 heater from what i have read) will it still be a useable ecu?

yes - i googled, and came up empty.

thanks.

We don't repair ECUs, and we recommend that you use an undamaged ECU when using our products.

i am aware you don't repair ecu's...

however - what part/component is damaged when this happens?

the ecu still functions normally - only code is 41 for the heater... and 34mpg...
