Rev Limiter stuck at 5500 RPM
Kpro board # 4507
kpro board serial # 05005122
Ecu part # 37820-PRB-A05
I have an 2003 Acura rsx type-s
Nothing have been modified to affect the ecu
Latest kmanager v1.5.1.0
Swap 06 k24a2 motor in my rsx-s
I had no problem bringing my car to the 7800 RPM limiter my tuner had set on Kpro. Car was dyno'd and ran great before. I made an minor adjustment on my low cam angles. Uploaded the change and went on a test drive and for some reason it had a 5500 RPM limiter. No codes, no indication as to why. I tried adjusting it back to 7600, then 8000 and then would upload to the ECU. It would be in the text box as the correct number, but the car still wouldn't rev past 5500 RPM. As soon as I hit the lightning bolt to start/stop datalogging, the rev limiter table would automatically revert back to 5500 RPM without my command.
Scratching my head like crazy. I have no check engine light, did a test with a obdII super scanner and ecu is working fine and reading all the sensors. I tried loading a stock calibration, same thing. Reset the ECU, same thing. Turned the laptop off and back on, same thing. I uninstall and reinstall Kmanager on my computer with the up to date release version of kmanager and erase (security) ecu and still doing the same thing.

When posting a KPro problem with your vehicle, please include:
- serial number of your K-Pro
- ECU part number (starts with 37820)
- KManager version (not 'the latest')
- the calibration (as an attachment)
- a datalog of a problem (as an attachment)
- what sort of vehicle you have
- anything about the car which has been modified from stock which may affect the ECU (don't include what sort of rims you have nor stereo etc).
- a specific description of the problem
Most of the recent posts leave out information pertinent to solving the problem.
If you have an engine swap, please mention this. There are known problems with some of the engine harness used in engine swaps.

Yeah, I don't know what is going on with the ecu or kmanager, and I though it was only me that was suffering from this issue. Does anyone out there have a solution for us?vipersal wrote:I have the same problem, Civic SI 2005.
Re: Rev Limiter stuck at 5500 RPM
Make sure your KManager is the latest version. Check that you are getting an accurate speed signal when datalogging from the ECU. Check lean protection, launch limiter and boost limiters are not set a low rpm or pressure.

Re: Rev Limiter stuck at 5500 RPM
I have the new kmanager. I never had lean protection enabled. Even when I disable my launch limiter it does the same thing. My vss works, I have a ep3-r transmission with ep3-r vss. Don't know if that makes a difference. When I run my datalog my vss seems to be accurate, the speedo on my instrument cluster works great.Hondata wrote:Make sure your KManager is the latest version. I have include a datalog when cruising.

Re: Rev Limiter stuck at 5500 RPM
I didn't know that the kmanager v3.0 can work with the kpro II. All this time I thought you had meant the v1.5.1.0. being the latest software for the kpro II. I will give it a try and see what happens.
