I have been doing a street tune on an H22A, under normal driving the idle sometimes just dips really low and recovers but after doing some WOT pulls the idle keeps stalling.
The datalog attached is with the throttle plate pulled open slightly and the TPS was recalibrated in software, didn't help. When the tb is closed like normal the IACV duty cycle has to be maxed out to idle, even with the idle at 1200 is doesn't idle. The car will also not idle at all with the iacv unplugged. I'm also finding the car doesn't pull enough vacuum, only 15inhg at idle, is this normal for pro2s?
specs:
h22a
skunk2 pro2 cams w/ gears set to 0
skunk2 intake manifold
base timing at 16*
the IACV has the skunk2 relocation bracket and flange with about a foot of tubing
open header
bkr6e-11 gap untouched
AEM wideband o2

Re: H22A stalling problem
btw, no vacuum leaks
Re: H22A stalling problem
You need to adjust the idle per the Helms manual and see if that corrects the problem. It should idle with the IACV disconnected.
Re: H22A stalling problem
So I should have no problem getting the car to idle with the IACV disconnected even with pro2 cams? I know the procedure for setting the idle but I don't think it will help, I will try it again though.
Car should be at normal operating temp, all electronics off, unplug IACV and set idle with adjustment screw on TB to ~500rpm.
If you look at the datalog the engine goes very lean on the way down from higher rpm and shuts off, would overrun fuel cutoff affect this? I also noticed the car likes to idle at a richer mixture, 13.9:1. Any other thoughts?

Re: H22A stalling problem
On the bottom of the throttle body there is a fast idle valve, remove that valve and take the back plate off, there is a white piece in there tighten it up. Had the same issue on mine and that was really loose causing it to leak. i took mine all apart and cleaned it and put it back together and it drives and idles amazing!!!
