Hello Hondata,
I'm looking at getting a reflash performed on my Accord Euro 2005 (Australian Model) but I'm just trying to find out why it only costs $295 in the U.S and a ridiculous $1250 to have essentially the same service performed here.
You're Australian dealer had quoted me "a couple of weeks" to perform the reflash and based on my previous experience with the flashpro for my Type-R reflashing takes no more than a few minutes, I'm aware than the TSX (Accord Euro) ECU is different and can take as long as half an hour to write to but besides being quoted (in my opinion) a crazy amount more than what it costs you guys in the states but the turn-around time to have the service done seems unreasonable also.
Does Hondata regulate the pricing of the service or is it dealer recommended pricing? and If so, can I strongly suggest you re-evaluate you're dealers here in Australia because support for your product is fairly poor here which is a shame because I absolutely love the flexibility and ease of use of the FlashPro for my Type-R but I'm surprised to find support for the K24 is not of the same standard.
I'd love to get stuck into doing more with my Accord but with unrealistic pricing of your product and poor dealer support is making me very seriously think twice.
Australian Accord Euro 05' Reflash Pricing?
Re: Australian Accord Euro 05' Reflash Pricing?
In most countries, including Australia, we legally cannot fix prices for our resellers. I suspect that you are comparing two different products - the US TSX reflash, which is $295, and some sort of dual adapter setup for a 2005 Euro Accord R, which would require an adapter harness, RSX ECU and reflashed stock ECU. I suggest asking exactly what the process involves and what you are getting.

Re: Australian Accord Euro 05' Reflash Pricing?
Hi Hondata, thanks for writing back. I'm actually referring to the Accord Euro / TSX reflash product, you're authorised dealer here in Australia (Jtune) offers this reflash service when a supplied stock ECU is sent to to them for programming. They no longer offer nor suggest using the dual harness / kpro setup due to loss of VSA and cruise control.
Please see their link here for reference to what I'm talking about: http://jtune.com.au/order.php
"JT-EF-02 EURO Mild Flash" - $1250
They wont explain why their price varies so greatly from U.S dealer reflashes. And not that I'm complaining about you're products in anyway but like I previously mentioned, you're Flashpro product has given me the abilitiy to fully tune my FN2 with 24/7 access to changing elements of the tune whilst obviously you're reflash requires a dealer to perform the work but its locked in until another "reflash" is performed or tuned there on the spot.
Considering I bought the Flashpro for $700 here in Australia and a further $200 on a complete tune, for the cost (and performance) of this product, it's clearly better value that the reflash option that's only available for my Accord.
I just can't understand why U.S dealer's can reflash the TSX for $295 and its almost a full $1000 more for the same service here.
I know there's a fair few CL9 euro owners only wishing more engine management solutions were more readily available or at least the reflash were more in line with the U.S pricing.
Anyway suppose there's not a great deal that can be done about it now but still wouldn't mind knowing why the cost is so different.
