Newb Question

Post by guessohw »

I am currently sitting in afghanistan planning out the final stages of my build when I get home in Nov. The main issue that I was having prior to deploying was with the tuning aspect of my civic. I have a socketed ecu from xenocron and was running crome pro but could never seem to get a good base tune to start of with nor could I ever see to get the software to function correctly consistantly thus the reason I am looking into hondata s300. I understand some of these questions may be on the site and I will find them but for a piece of ming right now I just want input as far as the pros of Running hondata compared to crome. Its seems as if there are more followers of hondata then crome which makes me ask is it easier toi come across a d16y8 base map for my setup? Also I see from xenocron you can get the whole ecu setup in one shot but it includes the boost controller and I already have an AEM digital boost controller so i was wondering if anyone else has run into this issue and can you get the setup without it or is it just better to run with it since it comes with? Makes since either way. Thanks in advance

Crome has been dead for a long time. I used to tune with it but the support from John Cui was pretty horrible. All added freatures to the program were done so through java plug-ins. Numerous bugs existed (and still do) in the program. Trust me, go Hondata and you will never look back. I have used the S100, S200, and S300 along with RomEditor 3, 4 and SManager.
