I sold my beloved Si to a very good friend who unfortunately, lives far away from me. I was on E85, but had my tune changed to gasoline when I sold the car to him. He simply cannot make FlashPro work. My tuner-Ron Soliman, never had any problems with using my FP. However, when he went to retune on gasoline, he forgot to disable the 2nd 02 sensor, so the new owner wants to do that.
I have given him all my information including serial number and VIN# of the car. I also have given him my name, e-mail, phone number, address, and my security password [which I am not 100% on]. Is there something that we are missing here to make the FP work on his laptop? I would think that it is a straightforward deal to make it work. Nothing has been changed on FP. I didn't change any information or do anything that should prevent the new owner from activating it on his computer.
Could you give me some suggestions for him to try, or if he still cannot make it work, would it be possible for him to call Hondata directly? I appreciate any help, especially from Doug or Derek.

^ Thanks. I will always be grateful to Hondata for revolutionizing tuning and modding the K20Z3 engine in the Si. Until the advent of FlashPro, we were stuck in the dark ages with mods that barely made any power. It is a privilege to have been able to talk to Doug and see the great breakthroughs that have been experienced.
Re: NitrousG35 sold his Si and new owner cannot use FlashPro
Howdy! I'm the new owner of Bill/NitrousG35's car, and while I appreciate those links, they really didn't help at all. The Flashpro Manager is on my laptop just fine, but when I try to put all of Bill's info into the "Registered Owner" section it won't accept the password. All the different function windows open, although they don't show anything since I can't "log in" (I'm guessing). The only info that that the FP manager will display is the FP serial number, the car's VIN, and the date (which is wrong) under the "History" section.
Since I've never used FP I'm not familiar with the startup process concerning a new computer. Since this is the same car, same Flashpro, but different owner, do I need to re register the FP because of the new computer? Also, is there any way for me to change the "Registered Owner" info from Bill's to my own? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

If there is a pssword, you will need to get the pasword from the original owner.

Well I have his password (to the best of his recollection) but every time I tried to enter it, and his user info I would get a password error message.Spunkster wrote:If there is a pssword, you will need to get the pasword from the original owner.
After looking at another thread I took your advice and downloaded the most recent version. After the download was complete, when I open the FP tab in FP manager, there is now information being shown under the FlashPro/Calibrations/Datalogging/Registered Owner/History tabs. The "Registered User" tab now shows all of my information (I guess from when I was originally trying to get started after buying Bill's car). I'm not quite sure why my info is now being displayed since right above it says "These details are stored on the FlashPro and may only be changed with the correct security password". Since it would never accept Bill's password, how could the information get changed?
Even though there's information being shown under the FlashPro tab, nothing is shown when any of the other manager windows are opened.

You have to load a calibration from the New Calibration button.
