Timing flatlined at 26 degrees under wot

Post by TREVTEC »

Having issues with a car. Seems to flat line 26 degrees timing under WOT pulls. All the way to redline. I dont have any 26s on my map. Curious if this is normal when you are logging??

Doesnt throw any codes and isnt hot. There isnt any reason for it to pull timing. Timing seems to move around with the map, soon as you are WOT its flat 26 degrees.

Car is a Civic, 90X99 14:1 on E85.

Did you ever figure out what was going on? I'm seeing the exact same thing...ignition timing works fine up to around 6500rpm at WOT, and then drops to 26deg. Have looked "everywhere" for a timing compensation and either haven't found it, or don't recognize it :-)

This issue maybe due to knock control, check to see what the Knock control value is in a datalog. I'm comparing 2 datalogs from different version releases (1.4.x and 1.5.1). Both CALs have the same knock control settings (knock sensor and stock knock control unchecked) and I am seeing different knock control values (0% compared to 100%) in the datalogs.
