Hey guys, I just bought my car it has a k24/k20 tuned back mid 09 on kpro. I'm running into issues with vtec not engaging so I am trying to datalog and see if I'm throwing any codes and to check the cam angle, vtec engagement point, and all that stuff. I connected with the latest version and could read the sensors, but it would not load the map off the ecu. Instead it shows an error message saying the map (1.3.7) is made on a lower version. Is there a way to datalog without loading the current map? I've never used kpro before so I'm trying to get the hang of things.
If not, does anyone have this version they could send to me? I'm not trying to tune it at all, all I want is a datalog.
Thanks in advance!
Ver 1.3.7 needed for datalog

You need to use the current version of software. You can try reading the calibration and then saving it to the hard drive and then upload the calibration using the newest version of software.

It won't even read the calibration unless I load it using the version it was created in. The car was tuned in another state before I bought it, so I can't even go to the shop and ask for a copy of the map they made.Spunkster wrote:You need to use the current version of software. Just looking to datalog, is there a way to without loading the map off the ecu? It seems like it won't let me do anything unless I load the ecu calibration.

USing the current version of software what does it do when you try to download the calibration?

it says cannot load the config off the ecu because it was made in an earlier version

Please list step by step exactly what you are doing, as this should work. Also what version of software from Help, About are you using?

What are the steps typically taken to datalog? I don't have a laptop right now so my friend came over who also has a K swap and hooked up his laptop. We plugged in the USB, then opened kmanager, clicked the little lightning button and the error appears. I forget the exact wording but it said the calibration on the ecu (1.3.7) is made in an earlier version of kmanager (4.1.x). It won't bring the map down or let you view the config that is on the ECU. I'm pretty sure he has the most recent version as he just did the swap and has been messing with different basemaps.
If there's a way to datalog without doing this, that's fine, as all I want to do is datalog. I've never used kmanager before so a little how to on datalogging would be helpful.

Have your friend email you the calibration that he last uploaded to your ECU, load that into the most recent version of software and upload it to the ECU. You will then be able to datalog.
