car breaking up after changing everything

Post by boostedk20eg »

kmanager v1.4.1
1993 honda civic swapped k20
prb ecu
fully built/turbo k20
car is breaking up. tried different/new coilpacks, new plugs at different gaps, new bigger grounds, new unopened drum of c16.no change.car was tuned in may and everything went good on the dyno no issues. as soon as i went to the track i changed two step and some boost by gear settings and uploaded that map to ecu and i've had the problem ever since. i've changed everything i thought it could be. I think i am looking over something in the map/datalogs.

I've had this ecu for 5years in this car and no issues ever so i doubt it's an ecu problem. i had this exact setup last year with no problems changed transmission and cams over the winter so did a retune which went fine but now it's doing this.

Go to Online, Tools and clear security, when that finishes, close the program and reopen it. Then load your calibration and upload it to the ECU.

I'll try that here in a bit thanks. Any reason why to try that? see anything on the datalogs that shows any bad signs?

well come to find out my wideband wasn't up to par and was running pretty rich causing it to break up. now i'm still having this problem with boost but I know it's not in kpro anywhere. it has to be losing boost somewhere befor it gets to the manifold. I've boost leak after boost leak and haven't found anything leaking either. I'll upload a log of a pass at the track to see if you guys have ever seen anything like this before
