Hi All

I was just wondering if there are any plans hondata to do a flashpro for the European Spec Cars with the R18A2 Engine. As I am reading of ever increasing numbers of them being tweeked with aftermarket stuff and I feel one area that is lacking is good aftermarket ECU surport.
I see that you have done one for your USDM R18 and I apreachate that the R18 engine has a wide ragne across the world but trying to see if there is anything in the pipleline for us europeans.

I have dozens of customers lined up who want us to do work on their R18A2 powered Civic's and we are talking Honda main dealer here!

If you (Hondata) aren't going to launch the Flashpro specific solution can we not use the US R18 Flashpro with the US RNA ECU and then working with the dealer get the VIN recoded so it runs?

We have managed this with the Euro Type-R utilising the US ECU and dealers re-coding so we can utilise aux wideband input and boost controls ourselves. Your local Euro dealer wasn't any help btw!

Below is a copy of the response that we sent you regarding the Euro R18 and Flashpro. This is the most up to date information that we have from Hondata. If this product becomes commercially available for the Euro R18 then we will communicate this to all.

I spoke to Guy

He confirmed that the R18 Flashpro is not supported in Europe by either us or Hondata, this is because it will not work with the ECU and there is a loss of functionality.
