PLX outputting narrowband and tuning open loop

Post by bb4lude »

So i have the plx sm-afr and it is going to be outputting a narrowband signal and a wideband signal to datalog.

Narrowband signal going to D14 on my p72, and Wideband signal going to D10.

Am i ok to tune in open loop with the narrowband still connected to D14? Does the hondata software disable the narrowband signal input as soon as i select open loop?

Also as there is an option to disable 02 heater does that mean i don't need to add a 1k resistor across the two black wires from stock oxygen sensor plug?

Yes it is fine to tune that way. Open loop does not correct for any o2 readings.

You do not have to add any resistors if you disable the heater.
