Error when Download Rom from ECU

When i try to download my rom from my ecu I get the following error; it keeping opening windows like this until I unplug it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.


Also when I try to datalog it works fine while idle/sitting but when I drive it stops logging. Inorder to get it to work again I have to unplug the usb cable and replug it then it works for a 30s-1min. Any suggestions on this?

I have tried this on a Windows 7 and Windows XP Machine

The datalogging problem is most likely caused by interference from the ignition system. Make sure you are suing resistor type spark plugs and that you are using an OEM cap, rotor and coil.

When you try to read the calibration from the ECU close all the windows within Smanager and make sure you are not datalogging.

Reading my ECU was successful, I was datalogging while attempting to download my ROM.

As far as my datalogging issue, I have always used NGK BK7E spark splugs. I did have a MSD distributor cap with an external coil (didn't have an issue for a long time with this setup) then my distributor went out so I went back stock. This problem was here a little while before I changed my dizzy. Could the spark plug wire have anything to do with it and is there any test I can run to figure out where the interference is coming from?

It could be the spark plug wires. Borrow a set from somoene else and see if the problem goes away.

Done some other testing and it seems to work alot better on a Windows XP Laptop vs. Windows 7 Laptop. Any idea's on that?

It probably has more to do with the manufacturer of the laptop than it does with the operating system.
