Thread/Sticky/Help for NooBs

I am new to tuning. I have been looking on this website for many hours, learning and trying to understand the idea of tuning. I don't expect anything to be handed to me, as things need to be earned/rewarded. But I feel that some sort of sticky or a good write up would be great to understand how to tune w/pics if possible. That way, it would give noobs (me as well) a better understanding and a safer tune/ basemap. If anyone reads this, please post links or info or anything learnt that might be of value to this thread. And for those who do post, a thousand thanks.
