New Install...Please Help

Post by 98jrscintegra »

I've just installed the Hondata/JRSC kit for my 98 integra. This included the new ECU, 440 CC injectors, and a replacement for the fuel pressure regulator. I started the car and the idle is quite low and bouncing. It actually goes so low sometimes it stalls. The vaccum bounces between 12 - 14 in/Hg at idle which seems very low to me considering my car idled at 20 in/Hg before the install. When I jump the service connector in order to get a CEL code, the ABS light flashes 8 longs and 1 short. I've never heard of a code 81. If anyone has any ideas please give me a shout.

I forgot to mention that I just hat a new catalytic converter installed and I'm suspecting that the 02 sensor may be installed incorrectly. But that shouldn't affect cold idle right?

According to my A/F ratio gauge, it seems very lean.

More Info. I recently connected the "blue box" and got the CEL to flash a code 4. Seems that this is related to the Crankshaft Position Sensor. Still idles like crap and often dies. It's basically undriveable.

Use a multimeter and check the resistance of your injectors. Also provide the date you ordered the kit form Jackson Racing.

The injectors are saturated so they are assumed to be 2 ohm. The car idles beautifully when I reconnect the stock ECU too. I ordered the kit in mid July.

Please don't assume things like that. You need to actually measure the resistance and report back with that.
