Using K-pro and Mychron 3 XG Log

Post by dylan.t.gibson »

I am having difficulty allowing the ecu to communicate with my aim data system. I understand the instructions to change the line of code in the kmanager.ini file, but it cannot be found in either the kmanager folder or in documents or appdata folders as listed below.

http://www.hondata.com/help/kmanager/in ... zation.htm

i need to have my race car running for saturday and need this fix asap.

(i dont have any of the usb cables or cd's for the k-pro, it was installed in the car by the previous owner)

thanks, dylan

Make sure you have your operating set to display all file types and to not hide file extensions. You may also have to allow it to show system files.

The Aim instructions are out of date - the KManager.ini file is found in the user directory - see the help file http://www.hondata.com/help/kmanager/in ... zation.htm

In any case, download the beta version, which has simplified settings for the serial output (under 'Multiplexer').

The previous owner had the kpro doing onboard data logging, running off a switch on E22. would this effect anything?

what should the settings be for onboard data logging in the parameter section? I am confused as to how the kpro transmits data rather than storing it itself.

Thanks a lot, you've been a great help already.
