Hi,
I am very new to Hondata. I am not a tuner. I am using an s300 with the ITB'd LS/VTEC basemap from SManager, as I am running a similar setup with ITB's and want to have the tuner use alpha-n to tune the car:
12.2:1 ish B18C1
Skunk2 Stage 2 Cams
RMF Narrow Header
3" Exhaust
Toda 42mm ITB
RC Engineering 370cc injectors
Walboro 255
FPR set at 50psi as to match map
Before I can take it to the tuner so that he can make the proper fuel and ignition adjustments for cruising and for a WOT dyno tune, I want to heat cycle the engine that I have built and ensure there are no problems with the engine.
My problem is that my idle AFR hovers around 10.5-10:1. I pull fuel out of the correct load squares for idle and upload them or whatever, but the mixture stays the same. I am worried that if I heat cycle the engine at this AFR I will wash out the rings.
I have my wideband connected to the Hondata, it reads the same as the wideband gauge.
I have read through as much of the online manual as I can, but as I said, I am not a tuner so I am having some trouble understanding what it is I need to do.
Here is what I have done:
Scaled injectors to correct size in hondata and re uploaded
Cleared all codes- there are NO check engine lights
Calibrated TPS correctly for ITB's
Checked for correct injector impedance (high- read 16.0ohms on all of them +/- .2)
Things I haven't and don't really know how to do / potential problems:
Set duty cycle for injectors (is that something you do or is it just a function of load on injectors??)
Injectors are used but worked ok on last car (supposedly?)
Only one bung on header for 02 sensor, only the wideband is on- narrow band is disabled through Hondata.
Any help is appreciated, and any additional information can be given.
