I've searched around and only found one vague reference to a K20 with both JRSC and Hondata IMG install, and they said something about the bolts being too short.
LMK if you've done this, and what you did to work around it, or what bolt length is needed, etc.
Thx
JRSC with Hondata IMG - anyone installed this combo?
This works well (I have it on two vehicles).
Since the supercharger adds a lot of weight you want a much thread as you can get. The best thing to do is to measure the depth of hole in the head for each of the manifold bolts - from memory it is 19mm. Then select 8mm bolts which stick out of the manifold by 16-17mm. I think the top and bottom of the manifold are different thicknesses so with some swapping around you can get bolts which are the right length.

Hondata
If I went with studs instead of flange bolts I can be sure to get the thread depth correct, but I wonder how much else will be in the way when I try to put the SC assembly over the installed studs sticking out. I'll find out soon enough - the JRSC is on order.
I think the IMG is about 3mm thick - a bit more grinding for clearance?

Re:
hondata was the first that i know of to release this gasket so i would be inclined to say it is better.Pir8pete wrote:do you think the Hondata IMG is better then the one that comes with the CT-e kit? would it be worth switching to keep the blower cooler?
and yes using a IMG will help with a little heat sink on your head. I have one on the Fit. I used bolts though, I didn't use studs as they would protrude out enough that installing the supercharger , it would hit the Radiator support. the metal cross bar. so bolts was a must for me.
