Error code 67-1 DTC P0420 Catalystic System Efficiency ...

Post by bcunha »

Hello,

I'm getting "Error code 67-1 DTC P0420 Catalystic System Efficiency Below Treshold" in a K-Pro ECU for a K20A2 UK ECU, I know this is normal because I don't have a catalytic converter but using K-Series ECU Manager version 1.0.16.0 I have the parameter "disable P0134 (O2 sensor response) greyed out, so I can't select it, in the same tab the other parameters are working. A saw an answer from Hondata to an other forum member to select this box so I assume that normally it can work !

Can you comment on this ?

Thanks,

Best Regards,
Bruno Cunha

Strange, before I upgrade to K-Pro I asked Doug about this and he told me it was possible to do, he also told me that it was already possible in the reflash.
So, if I have a real problem I cant see it because the MIL is already lighted :(

Thanks

Current it is not possible to disable P0134 with the Euro ECU, despite what you have been told.

Can you both jumper the OBDII connector and count the MIL flashes, and also use a scan tool to retreive the code? The reason is that some error codes are mapped differently from the US to Euro ECU and I want to be sure what the exact code it is before I look at disabling the code.

I can count the MIL, about using a scan tool to retrive the code I can make a visit to my Honda dealer and ask them to see the error code number.
As soon as I have both answers I will post them here.

Thanks

On my Civic Type R I have P0420 on my OBD2 tools.

What do you need exactly Hondata ? I can go to Honda today if you want.

1. Jumper the OBDII connector (see the KManager help under 'Retrieving DTCs') and record the flash count.
2. Use a OBDII scan tool (either Honda or generic) to retrieve the P code (which should be P0420 in your case).
3. Record what code KManager comes up with.
