2000 S2000 SYSTEM TOO LEAN

Post by CHICKENPARM »

I JUST INSTALLED KPRO TODAY, MECHANICALLY EVERYTHING WENT SMOOTH. I STARTED IT UP AND IT IDLED FOR AN HOUR NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. THEN I LEFT WORK AND THE CE LIGHT CAME ON IMMEDIATLY. SYSTEM TOO LEAN. I GOT HOME AND DATALOGGED AT IDLE AND I NOTICED THAT THE STFT CLIMBED UP AT A STEADY RATE ALL THE WAY UP TO 35 PERCENT AND I ALSO NOTICED THAT THE AIR FUEL WAS GREEN AND STAYED AT A STEADY 14.7?? IM PRETTY FAMILIAR WITH KPRO BECAUSE I USED TO HAVE IT A FEW YEARS BACK AND NOW I HAVE IT AGAIN. IVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS BEFORE...IM STUMPED. THANKS IN ADVANCE
ROB

EDIT: 2000 S2000 KPRO BONE STOCK OTHERWISE.
I MADE SURE THE USE SECONDARY 02 INPUT WAS CHECKED.
ECU WAS PROVIDED THROUGH HONDATA BRAND NEW

Closed loop. The RSX ECU will run in closed loop using the S2000 primary oxygen sensor. Due to the RSX ECU normally using a wide band oxygen sensor, in KManager you use select 'Use Secondary Oxygen Sensor for Primary' (don't panic - the ECU is actually running off the S2000 primary oxygen sensor, which has been routed through the RSX ECU as the secondary oxygen sensor).

thats off the hondata site

You must let the car warm up. You will not get a AF reading as you do not have a wideband. The S2000 K-Pro only uses the stock narrowband sensor which is input through the secondary o2 input on the ECU.

You can download the most recent beta version of our software from the downloads section of our website.

so even after the car is warmed up i will not get an a/f reading? How would i tune the a/f if i can't tell what it is. Can you explain what i have to do in order to get an accurate reading of the a/f. i will downlkoad the latest version tonight and see what happens. Thank you for the help

You must use an aftermarket wideband, input through the ELD to be able to datalog a wideband signal.

So I have to buy an oxygen sensor in order to have accurate a/f readings when i datalog then ok. Is there a way to buy a sensor that will "plug and play" with my stock s2000 harness? If there is I'm assuming that i would replace the upstream o2 sensor with the wideband. I dont really want to do any wiring, and id like to keep it as simple as possible. So what im asking is if theres a way to get a/f readings without rewiring anything? Thank you again for taking the time to help me out

**if i have to re-wire would you be able to e mail me a diagram of the wiring**
