According to think http://www.autoshop101.com/forms/h36.pdf, v type engines have one cam sensor for each cylinder bank. I have the Helm's manual and it appears to only reference one cam position sensor. Does the K20A2 have more than one cam sensor. If so, where?
I have P0300, P301, P0302, P0303, P0304 and P0340. When I read the information off the scan tool for P0340 it made a reference to Sensor A (or B, not sure which one it was), Bank 1 Malfunctioning.
Is it likely that multiple cylinder misfires cause a cam sensor to malfunction or vice versa?
I ordered the cam sensor from Honda and I'll be able to change it on Monday. I'm hoping this will cure the multi cylinder misfire and cam sensor issues.

The fault codes are generic. Sometimes it is better to count the MIL flashes to diagnose the problem.
Is this an engine swap?
Plus anything else which is non-standard on the vehicle.
What sort of engine is this? You mention a V6, then a K20A2.eddiet wrote:What information do you want me to provide?

Hondata
It's a K20A2 in an RSX Type-S. It's not a swap.
I only recall seeing the MIL flash once when I started the engine. The MIL would come on and then turn off. Until recently it has remained on for quite some time (few weeks).
Installed mods are: Injen CAI, Hondata IMG and the throttle cable was tightened for better throttle response. No other mods.
I received the new CMP yesterday from Honda. I believe I may have failed at something. I installed the new CMP without resetting the ECU. I installed the new CMP and then reset the ECU. I drove the car for about 20 minutes and the MIL has yet to come on. I'm still unsure if the CMP may have been causing the misfires. Would it have mattered if I reset the ECU and then installed the new CMP?
