MAC boost control solenoid

Which hose connection for the MAC boost control solenoid is best for a external wastegate with s300 controlling the MAC solenoid, because I have seen it connected two different ways.

1) Port 1 compressor & port 2 top wastegate, port 3 vented to atmosphere

2) Port 1 compressor & port 3 top wastegate, port 2 to air intake of turbo

Connect the #1 from the mac to turbo compressor out then tee that line to the bottom of the wastegate. Then, #2 fitting from the mac solenoid go to top of wastegate.
