LED at the ecu

Post by mugen715 »

hi i wonder what the LED at the ecu doing? When i turn to acc, the LED turn from red to green indicate i can start up the car. There is one time, when the LED is red, i try to start up the car, it only cranking but can't start up. My question is why sometimes the LED turn green quickly and other time i have to wait maybe 1 minute for the LED to turn green? any help?

You do not have to wait for the LED to turn green to start the car. I have seen in some cars with low battery voltage when cranking that it will casue the Red light to stay on. The solution to this is to either charge the battery, get a new one or fix the wires that are causing the drop in voltage.
