Fuel value interpretation

Post by kornshadow097 »

Hi, in the k-pro tuning program ive noticed the fuel value being in numbers ranging from 0-2000+ but what do those numbers mean? I mean in CC's... Because its hard to tell what the limit of my 310CC injectors is since the fuel value has no real meaning to me..

so what does it mean? and how can i translate it to a limit of my injectors? Because so far I just correct my timing and make it aggressive and i just add fuel and i get no knocks... but i want to know the limit of my fuel injectors before malfunction.

Thanks

use the graph to find the INJ(injector duration)&DUTY values.

These help you see how long the injector is staying open and what the calculated "duty" of the injectors is at a given time. This is the best way to see whether or not you need larger injectors.

And as for just adding fuel, it sounds like you need a tune.

I see, thanks. So i just rely on the duty cycle to tell me if its on too long it is needing to work harder than a larger sized injector would. alright. So what about the duration? Does it really have any significance? I mean it is green and at times red but I dont see how that really would make a difference unless it is broken and is always open or always closed.. or is there something specific to be looking for on its duration?

Aside from that question,
Well so far my car seems to be running great, fast and have no problems at all... I'm not just adding fuel haha, I'm tuning it almost every two days using datalogs I receive and fine tuning every cam, angle and everything needed. I was just curious what the limits of my injectors were since these smooth stock curves are much lower than I am at now.

My tuning looks like a trainwreck yet I haven't had any problems and I've noticed a steady increase in power and torque :) If i had a dyno I'd really improve, but I dont have it...so oh well til then.

Thanks again
