have you purchased the wideband o2 sensor? if so, try this.

File-->New-->Civic Type R (Euro)

Try the top (Dyno tuned) kal and the one that says ITR cams/hdr.

Do a WOT 3rd gear pull FOR EACH from 2k-redline and datalog it, then post it up here.

Try and do them on a flat road, and preferably the SAME road.

Enable lean protection.

Euro type r

Post by tazmania »

I installed the wideband and made the modification in wiring, but the euro type r maps didnt work and didnt read A/F sensor, so i installed k20a2 rsx maps, i tried the cai tuned on third gear and the k20a stock map, and dataloged on third gear( attached). please check them up and advice. But i have some knocks when launching from the ground or when putting load on the engine. like 3to 5 knocks when launching.
thank you in advance.

I could be wrong, but i think the last two are the same.

Keep using the k20a2 Cold air map.

Do a much longer datalog from idle. Closer to 8-10mb. If its too big to upload, try speedyshare.com.

Do another WOT pull (or two) just like these in the middle of the map. (dont worry about starting and stopping it, I can cut it up)

I should be able to help you more then.

WOT daatalog

Post by tazmania »

HI Keto06,

i loaded the cai tuned map, and started dataloging, it seems so lean because its cutting off fuel(attached) maybe because we have 98 octane fuel, I couldn’t continue data logging. So I installed another map( k20z cai tuned) and tried, same problem + V tec sensor error and the vtec malfunctioned(attached). So I got through fuel tables added fuel on all angles and all went well and vtec worked again, WOT data logged but still have some knocks indicated.
Can I increase the vtec low boundary to 4800 for example? I use this car for daily use.
Thank you keto06 in advance.

thats a .kdl file, aka a datalog file.

I need the .kal (calibration) file that you uploaded to your ECU in order to make accurate changes.

All good man. Gimme a day or two and I should have this back to ya.

EDIT: That speedyshare file seems to be the same as the one thats on top. (2.9MB) Use speedyshare for files too big for the forums, like 10MB or so. Longer datalogs are better.

had a little time and I wanted to post a new kal so you could get a nice long datalog for me. 20minutes or so. Lots of mixed highway/street driving. Post to speedyshare so i can help on PT. (part throttle)

Good job on the WOT 3rd gear pulls. 3 or 4 in the next one is all you need. I liked that one pull in 4th as well. Try and get one of those as well.

I made a few changes here and there. Try not to change anything so I can keep things straight. if you do, make sure and post that kal.

How did your end basemap work out, i'm running the identical setup with the exception of a Greddy EVO2 exhaust and am looking for a decent kal. I'm currently running the k20a2 with cai pre loaded kal and want to take advantage of my header and exhaust. Thanks
