I just bought an hondata FP for use on my south american Civic Si.
Through the FP manager, and forums got around to see how to install the FP, drivers and such, and throught the Hondata Forum was helped by site adm. hondata and spunkster so i started to the right base calibrations to use according to my ecu part #.
So up to there it was ok. The problem i am facing is that i followed all the instructions and chose a base setting, connected the FP to the OBD port, locked the FP, and then uploaded the base cal, no the problem is that the car didnt start anymore!!!!.
Tried another basemap, and still the same.
The car cranks but doesnt start.
Tried then to unlock the FP and a message indicating that i have to return to the stock setting appears and isnt letting me to unlock it.
Ive tried loading a stock basemap through the FP manager (Online: return ecu to stock) and it isnt letting me to unlock it....
I then checked if i had connection to the ecu. So when pluged to the usb port the power indicator is on, but when pluged only to the OBD port the green power indicator, goes on and off, it isnt continous. Also, tried to upload pressing the program button and nothing happened, the program light didnt come on.
At last when i noticed that when I turned the ignition to I the flashpro in the FP manager, under the ECU flag, appeared as OBD: connected and ECU: Not detected.... Then when i turned the key to the II position (on) then the OBD; appeared as not connected. BTW at the moment i noticed this the battery power was under 9 volts.
What can I do??
Hope something isnt messed up.
My FP serial number is: FP-SI-US-11931
My ecu number is: 37820-RRD-P11
FP manager version: 1.1.5.6
Car has Vibrant header with hi flow cat, vibrant full catback, oem intake with replacement filter, king motorports overbored TB.
The ecu had been reflashed by a company named Euroboost (in peru), before, (suppose itd somethingsomething like the Hondata reflash) has this something to do with it??
As you can imagine im very worried, from what I know this is the first FP bought in lima, Peru, so i have to sort this with forums help.
Hope you can point me to the right direction and fix this.
Help, Car wont start after Reflash.....

Friends at hondata, looking to update this and my current problem.CSAS wrote:received the email and has a question.Spunkster wrote:Check your email
Eventhough it was reflashed by another company, the FP tried to reflash but wasnt able to, and now thats the problem??
Ecu was flashed back to stock by the company that did the reflash.
I connected the ecu to the car and to the FP and FP recongnized it again (before this it didnt eve recognize the ecu as you recall). Then, I loaded a base map (stock tuned) in order to check that after a reflash the FP would still reconize the ecu and its connectivity, and it was all OK.
So up to there, everything was going ok.
Due to the fact i have been using another ecu, i took today my car to the dealer in order to reinstall my ecu and rematch iot with the keys and so on, so i could use my ecu and hondata.
Now the thing is that theyve just called me and even thought the ecu recongizes an all, they have not been able to restart the car and get the codes on the keys and such working to get it started.
My quiestion is: Should I flash it back to stock and unlock the FP (so its totally stock) so they can be able to record the codes and such on the ecu and the key (i left the ecu with the tuned map).
Hope you can help me.
NEW Update:
Managed to reflash to stock and unlock FP from ECU, so I think this means the ECU was correctly flashed back to stock by the guys that reflashed it initially.
gave the dealer the correct VIN # (they couldnt find it) that the FP gave me, and they should be able to strart it now.
Ill update tomorrow.
