CT-e s/c stage2 Re-Flash Vs FP Manager base .fpcal

Post by Pir8pete »

Here's my story;

I had the CT-e s/c stage 2 re-flash and my car ran great. Had no audible knocks w/ great power, but I had the cold start issue and no curse control rrrrghh so I was forced to order FP at a discounted price directly from Hondata and I was told by Doug him self to use the ct-e stage2 cal. and I could edit my cranking fuel trims and make sure curse was checked and I'd be good to go. Now since I lost my re-flash my ignition timing can not be dialed in properly so I would like to see how it was setup in the re-flash and adjust my cal. accordingly. I like some settings from the re-flash that I can not seem to manipulate with FP.

Hondata, is there any chance I could get a copy and past of these values? Should I talk to Doug again about my issue's as I need some resolution.

see attachment. I can't not run any more timing on the lower cam between columns 4 to 10 within 1700-5000 rpm, and even this is still too much and if i turn it down any lower the car feels bad WHAT GIVES? I have checked a lot of other peoples cal's with the same setup and there's seems in the norm.

Good luck with that one pete. I wanted to get some of the parameters of the ajp reflash to used along with my custom tune and they said you can't use a reflash with flashpro which made no sense. See my other thread.

I wanted to see the closed loop operation of the ajp reflash and just see what the tables looked like for some of the other things.....sounds wierd to me

oh crappy, well maybe they can do a screenshot or something just so I can take a look. Hope so as I did pay for both in full.

I feel ya pete...It wasn't exactly cheap either was it. It's like they don't really care either..They'll just go to the default answer, "Hondata does not support this".

The question is the same as this post: viewtopic.php?t=11894

The reflash is so different from the FlashPro is does not even use calibrations. We can not provide the information you're asking for.

Ok that makes a bit more sense. Thanks for the explanation here and the other thread. Still it would be awsome if you could capture or export some of the pertinent values from various reflashes so people could apply certain values that they like to their fp cals.

You need to think about it this way.

The reflashes used the AFM based logic to control your car. The flashpro uses MAP based logic. It's a completely different code base, none of it translates.

Also, the data in the reflashes is built using Hondata's in house tooling, editing of binary code and such, the values don't correlate. Hondata does translation of the values in FP into values that can make sense to us, but the raw data is insane and a disaster.

There's just no feasible way Hondata could get you the information you want in a format that would do anything at all to help you.
