kpro security enabled i am locked out

ok so my friend has a k24 turbo with a basemap. I wanted to look at a datalog so i could see how it is running. when i try to downlaod his map from his ecu to my computer it says security enabled. when i go to disable security it asks you to make sure you know what you are doing. if you disable security does that wipe out the current base map and then you have to re download a basemap???

If you clear security it will erase the ECU. You cannot read the calibration from an ECU with security enabled.
