first day tuning have question

Post by rollingswapshop »

when looking at the fuel table while street tuning i got it to show me where in the map i was while driving in real time(in red) then it went solid and wouldnt show where i was anymore. i dont really know how it got it to happen in the first place. i might be explaining this wrong but if anyone can understand it would be a big help thanks

Your datalogging froze up. Do you have the laptop plug into a source when tuning? If so, unplug it and try again. RF is a byatch.

i can subscribe that: with an DC/AC adapter the logging nor RTP is working.

pretty bad, if you can't tune on the dyno or have an old battery in you laptop.

i just bought 2 9-cell batteries for my thinkpad :P that should be enough for every kind of tuning.

@crusian: are you in any german forums a member??

ok thanks i just had to remove the cable from the usb and plug it back in and everyting was fine. it is a problem though my battery in may laptop(its an xps) keep running out to quickly for street tuning baisically i just roughed in a decent safe tune and then i take it to the dyno 5 minutes from home where i will fine tune fuel maps then set the ignition timing. im gonna have to invest in a converter.
