Trying to run basemaps... Help needed Please :(

Post by brolly727 »

Hi All,

My brother has a '96 Honda Integra Type R (Jap i think). He has a Jackson Racing Supercharger (stock MAP sensor), 440 injectors, K&N Air Filter. I tried using the basemap from the Hondata ECU for a supercharger and what happened was the engine would start and idle at about 850 rpm. However when i tapped the accelerator took it up to about 2000 rpm and let go it then stalled. The car was on the drive not in gear. This happened a few times.

I got a little worried and tried a stock basemap and that seems ok. But none of the basemaps that have superchargers on seem to be working. One of the basemaps when i uploaded it i turned the ignition and the car started up and then stalled straight away. On another map the knock sensor was coming on.

Will putting on the Jackson Racing Supercharger Sensor make that much difference. I do apologise if that sounds silly, as i'm a little new to this. I hope there is enough information on here to help as we have been waiting like 3 months for everything to arrive.

Any help would be so so so very welcome. Just hope some of the good people here can help in some way :(

Hi mate,
iv had a look and and my set up is the same as the pic, but while i installed the supercharger, ma Temp sensors as shown in the pic, is on top of the intake manifold, i replaced it with my stock 1, as the one that i got housing was broken so i replaced it with my existing one on my old manifold, should this make a differance ??? should i take it off and put on the one that he gave me. do u think this wil make all the differance and stop the car from switchin off after i rev it up,

thanks alot.
