Weird ECT ignition comp value?

Post by Touge Master »

Hi there,

I'm going to tune a MY07 EDM S2000 so i'm checking all the maps and options in FPM.

I've seen a strange value in the ECT ignition compensation tables.
Here is a pic, the value is the one circled around. Is a -24.4º so is 24.4 degrees retarded over the calculated ignition advance by main table and knock control.

That value might be wrong.

Best regards.

I have checked the starting calibrations and can't find the -24.4 value. What calibration is it in, and what table?

Sorry, i forgot to attach the picture.

Calibration is S2000-Euro-1, 310 injector, Euro 2006+, stock equivalent.
I've loaded the calibration, checked in Options>Show Advanced Parameters and on the Ignition tree, Coolant temperature compensation i've seen this (circled in back).

I've double checked as i've install the FPM twice and in two different computers both running Windows XP (Home Edition and Profesional Edition)

The problem is that FlashPro is showing 8 columns when only 5 are used by the ECU. The last 3 columns are ignored, so don't worry that the ECU is going to advance the ignition 24 degrees. I'll fix this for the next release. Thanks for pointing this out.
