ok so heres the story i have an 05 type s. i purchased a k pro brand new from hondata i sent it to them got it back downloaded k manager, hooked up ecu car starts ran perfect, next day on my way home from work car shut off on highway and started knocking, pulled aside. hooked up my laptop and kpro would not communicate with my lap top on kamager it says ignition off, found the ecu was hot, pulled top cover off of ecu and found the kpro board was left loose, hondata left the screws that hold the board loose. i put it back in place tightened up the screws, stil lcranks but no start. i checked for fuel pump is not turning on. i sent the ecu back to hondata explain to them what happened when they got it they said its working fine and they sent it back, when i got it back still same thing crank no start and kmanager doesnt comunicate with laptop and ecu gets hot still is tht normal ? i tryd 3 laptops and no luck. i tryd a new fuel pump relay and not clicking tryd new relay no luck. please any help is apprciated. i am a mechanic and have tryd almost everything. when i jump the pump injectors doent pulsate when i crank thanks again for any advise

Update: I tryd the kpro in my friends car kmanager reads and uploads a map on his car and vehicle runs perfect. i tryd my fuel pump relay and main relay on his car also and both work fine. what do you guys think could be wrong with it ? i also noticed the check engine light doesnt come on when the ignition is first turned on like it should be. i think the ecu isnt getting powered up thanks again

Sounds like a wiring problem...if there was a loose/poor-quality lead from the ECU while you were running the car, the most likely one that could be damaged is the ECU power ground, or an ECU fuse. Check all your fuses; if they're all fine, check the service manual for which wire that is - trace it and take it from there.

Also check some obvious leads like the valve cover ground.
