Can't find adapter for 3 bar mapsensor anywhere

Post by turbointegra22 »

I went to pepboys and tried to get the conduct tite 85146 part to fit the GM 3 bar map sensor, and no one could find it, I did find a part close, but still not the right piece. The only thing they found in there computer was the motormite 85146 and it was a special order for $23, they couldn't even show me a picture, so I have no clue if that will even work. If anyone can give me some direction, that would be nice.

It is called a soldering iron and some epoxy.....

Make a perminant mate to the sensor and place your "removable" connector on the cabling.

weather pack connector

You can use any male 3 post weatherpack connector, just have to cut slots in the poles to fit your MAP. GM used them on 1985-1996 TPS sensors, 1,2,&3 bar Maps, and misc. accesaries. Black for TPS and misc. and green for 1 bar, red for 2 bar, and orange for 3 bar. If you look at the terminal side of connecter, you will notice alignment slots for each application, just cut new ones to line up with your MAP.
