Kraftwerks Honda Fit High-Boost Supercharger Kit:HONDATA ECU

Post by mattyliu »

I send emails twice to Kraftwerks for Honda Fit High-Boost Supercharger Kit with HONDATA tuned ECU but still get no reply.

So I post here and I hope you guys can help me

I am Chinese and own a 2006 GD3 5MT. I am not sure what version it is. But China version are always very similar to US version.

The main specs are as following:

the engine is L15A(79kw/5800rpm 143Nm/4800rpm, red line:6200rpm). But the compress ratio of the engine is 10.1:1 I think it may because of the quality of the gasoline in China.I am dring my car with #97 unleaded petrol all the time(we also have #98 gasoline but hard to find in my region). So far as I know, China #97 is something equal to #93 or #91 in USA mayber?

So my question is that:
1. will the 'KrafHonda Fit High-Boost Supercharger Kit' with HONDATA ECU be good with my L15A?
2. So do I need to send my factory ECU to you for tuning or the kit includs a new ECU which I just need to change it with the stock ECU?
3. according to my engine version, does Hondata need to do some adjustment tune in the ECU?
4. If Hondata can do the adjustment on the ECU upon my Engine hopefully for my China verions GD3, what would be the cost?

I have a workshop own together with my friend, we have a lot of cars around but just hard to find the right tuning. We now have to ask the tuner from HKS japan to come to my city for Evos and Stis. They use V-pro. But we have many other Honda's(Fit, S2000, Civic) around and we do not want to use V-pro. We want a ECU reflash solution. I really hope that my car can be fitted with your reflashed ECU/kits which means other Honda's in China can also use your products.

The Kraftwerks kit is only for the 07-08 US vehicle and includes a reflash which we made for the US vehicle, where the ECU would need to be sent to us. We have no way of knowing if it will work for any other vehicle. A custom tune is not possible without the vehicle here, and is very expensive to do without have a large number of cars to spread the cost over.

Thank you very much. Now I understand better.
No one knows if your ECU is suitable for other vehicles in different version or not. So I think I will not risk it.
Fully understand that the development should be spread over by a large numer of users. So maybe GD3 is just not the one.

Thank you again for your time.

Can you pls help me on one last issue:
If I buy this KWSC high boost kit and send my ECU to you for reflash.
Then
1. Will my ECU be reflahed. I guess my ECU is the in the same phisically size and plugs.
2. If the ECU could be reflashed, then will the program harmful to my engine due to the lower compress ratio 10.1:1 compared to the USDM GD3?

I think if my ECU could be reflashed and the program is not harmful to my Engine, then I will go for this KWSC high boost kit and I would like to take the rish of trying to in my GD3.

Thank you again for your time

This is not something we would be comfortable doing.
