MAP sensor install ...

Post by vactor »

i am moving the map sensor in my jrsc itr. what size is the pressure sensor hole that the JR pressure sensor screws into (i.e. what size barb fitting and thread type should i get from home depot to screw in there)? also, what kind of plug can i use to plug the factory map sensor hole on the throttle body (and where can i get one)? thanks!!

The hole should be 1/8" NPT. The brake booster hole is quite a bit larger, and is 1/4" NPT. The other hole (for water injection) is not NPT, but you'll likely leave that plugged anyhow.

The simplest, quickest, and cleanest way to block off the old MAP sensor location is to purchase a MAP block-off plate. It's a little hunk of aluminum that's shaped the same as the port that the map sensor uses. Most Hondata dealers that deal with JR systems can sell you one; I got mine from Payn Technologies.
