some people tell me to plug the egr valve but that doesn't solve the egr code or the check light. the light stays off for a few min after i reset the ecu but it always comes back on after a while.

check engine light
i did the swap and now i get a check engine light for the egr valve. the code i get is 12 and 36 the ecu is a p13 and the engine is an h22a from japan (Jdm). i cant find one manual that says what the 36 code is.

Are you shure that you are reading the code correctly?
Small pulse is 1
Long Pulse is 10
then wait for the space.
EGR VALVE LIFT SENSOR-
RED/WHITE TO D19
WHITE/BLACK TO D12
GREEN/WHITE TO GREEN/WHITE ON THOTTLE POSITION SENSOR.
EGR CONTROL SOLONOID VALVE-
RED TO A11
BLACK/YELLOW TO BLACK/YELLOW ON EVAP PURGE CONTROL SOLONED VALVE
