Tech Request: Car wont start

Post by strepto »

Hi!

This is my first post, so please be gentle :)

I have a 1992 Honda Civic VTi. The car has a B16A2 with a PR3 head, and a P30J OBD1 ECU.

Two days ago I was out driving my car, and it ran just fine. Lots of fuel, just had an oilchange for the winter, and a little service just to make sure everything was ok. The next day - the car wont start. The starter runs, and all electric stuff seems to work fine (lights, etc) - but no ignition.

This is what Ive done so far:

- Changed ALL the fuses and relays
- Changed the distributor to a brand new one - TWO times!
- Changed the sparkplug wires and sparkplugs
- Testet for fuelpressure and the fuelpump
- Measured the voltage to the distributor
- Checked for oil leaks etc.

The car just wont start - there is NO spark on either of the plugs.

Please help..
Best regards,
Tord Forland - Bergen^Norway

Hey My girlfriends car is having the same problem. We have replaced everything in the ignition except the ignitor cuz its $300. But everything else works. all fuses and relays have been replaced also. But that is an 89' Toyota Trueno. See I am a honda boy, and I know that us honda boys have an ignitor in our distributor, so it would be replaced if you replace the distributor. So I dont know how to help. I just thought it was a weird coincidence. But e-mail me when you get it fixed, i wanna know what it took. X1nt3grax@hotmail.com

The first thing is have you looked to see if you are getting coil 12volts.
If not replace the ingniter.
If you have replaced the igniter and still no spark then check the switch.
Check the fuses (stupid thing but never know)
check to see if your key switch has the output to send the ing. power to the coil.

If you try all that and still nothing then PM or email me andI can try to help one on one.
