D15B 75.5mm Vitara, FJT I-beams basemap

Post by newsoltsc »

Ok so I like to contribute every once in a while :)

Here is a basemap of my new setup. This is with 91 octane in CA.

Here is the setup:

::Block::
D15B
75.5mm Vitara Pistons 0.035 p2w clearance
FJT custom length i-beams (136.398 mm)

::Head::
Stock rebuilt D16z6
3-Layer MLS head gasket (0.030)

Motor compression = 8.11:1

::Tranny::
Stock rebuilt d15b7 aka DX

::Turbo Kit::
Spoolin Performance Log Mani
Spoolin Performance 2.5" DP
RedZone Performance 2.5" exhaust
Garrett/Turbonetics T3T4 50trim hybrid
Tial Wastegate .6bar spring (small blue)
Tuner Toyz 550cc injectors (overbored stockers)
Blox Intake Manifold
Stock D16z6 TB

In boost its pretty rich. When I was tuning WOT the coupler kept popping off. So I am going to wait to replace it then retune.

I know its hard to find basemaps for vitara setups so I hope this helps some people.

**USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!**

Double check the maps and settings to make sure it will work with your setup.

Thanks for your reply.

Yeah the boost tables werent tuned at this time because when we tried to do WOT pulls; the coupler would pop off so we werent able to tune past like.. 1-2psi of boost.

AFRs after that were put pig rich so that they werent lean.

I'll check out your calibration! Thanks!

My DelSol Vitara

So here's a pic. Although doesn't show much on the inside. Went to the track first time ever ran about 15 psi cause unbeknownst to me my manifold was cracked. I kept upping the fuel on idle, and it kept getting leaner and leaner, I'm like WTH, then by this time it's smoking , I'm like damn What's up, well the crack.. zJust got that welded today. So ACL bearings ARP and stuff, supertech valve springs. 440 injectors from some other factory car Mitsibishi I think: E-Bay turbo and intercooler & piping AND RODS, 4340 ebay bov, and wastegate so basically VERY cheap build, although it was balanced and micropollished crank.. Ran a 14.6 spinning a lot. Still very fun. BTW if you notice in my map, you guys are not rich in little bit later in boost boost, so guys be careful! Oh yeah and I stripped the oil plug threads, earlier... Jus Sayin
