Drive the car in "open loop" and then see if it happens. Right now it's in "closed loop".babybenz wrote:crucian, crucian wrote:I would need your tune sent to me to see what was done to it.
Here is the map the car is on. This evening when driving off, the sudden "lean" problem happened again. Wideband AFR showed "---" and rpm suddenly dropped very low. Then suddenly jumped up to normal again. Strange...
FUEL TRIM

I will try. I suspect it is some mechanical parts that have gone haywire.
This afternoon, when I throttled, the rpm dropped normally but became stucked at a lean cell. The wideband afr showed "---". Then suddenly, it jumped up to normal.
If I back-tracked when the problem started, it was the cleaning of the idle control valve that started it.
What do you think...?

Hmmm.... That's a good question. Recheck the wiring and installation of the IACV again. Like I said run it in open loop and then re-post.babybenz wrote:crucian, crucian wrote:Drive the car in "open loop" and then see if it happens. Right now it's in "closed loop".

I ran the car on open loop this evening and all was well. But when I switched to closed loop again, the same problem happened!
Now I know why you wanted me to run on open loop. It is to test the O2 sensor, right?
You are so clever! Now, problem is solved. I will continue to run car on open loop!

I never run my cars in closed loop cause I could never get it to act right. I just give them a real good open loop tune at part throttle.babybenz wrote:crucian, crucian wrote:Hmmm.... Re: FUEL TRIM
after driving or rev and the rpm drop and slowly rise... you should ad a tad more fuel from the table and move the IAC Duty Cycle to the right. If that dont work then also add 2 clicks up on the ignition table. Last but not least....Idle speed vs coolant set water temp 141 to 1050 - 177 to 1001 - 302 to 950 also do for the other.
