s300 help required

Post by jdmdelsol4 »

I have a 92 rhd del sol, just swapped an h23a onto a b16 tranny via evolution bisimoto kit, intake and headers for mods, had a chipped p28 which was running fine, but decided to upgrade to s300. Got it installed and now it wont read any values when plugged into the car, it will show the make-up of the tune but its almost like its stuck in limp mode, it rev limits at 4100 rpm roughly. The shop its at currenty persists on saying it a wiring problem but nothing in the harness has been changed even since it had the chipped ecu. I've heard that bad grounds or electrical interferences can be an issue but like i said nothing has been changed on the car. Any and all input is greatly appreciated. s300 noob, Mark

as far as i know its been uploaded with an h23a base map, it starts and idles just fine, has good pull to, it does bog down however when you first get it in fifth but only for a minute or two then it runs fine apart from the 4100 rev limit. it seems like its starving for fuel possibly when it bogs out. but im just figuring this stuff out so all input helps. .Mark.

Have you checked the error codes? Without the calibration and a datalog showing the problem it is impossible to guess what the problem could be.

their was an error code when they put the original base map in but it was cleared after the new calibration was put in, it originally had the same ecu with a socketed chip, which worked fine just needed a bit of tuning, but once i got the 300 installed its bin acting up and most of the shops i go to keep saying its my wiring, but my wiring hasnt been touched since the swap was originally done
