help !!! Engine Jerk at 4200 rpm -4500rpm

Post by superman105 »

Hi

I just installed KPRO on my K20A Type R stock engine
I use the TYPE S with ITR cam map.

there seems to be a Jerk or timeing retard around 4200-4500 rpm

Any idea what's causing it ?

prior to KPRO I was running PRC TYPE R ECU without problems.

please comment

tks

David

- serial number of your K-Pro (not sure will check it tonight)
- KManager version 1.4.0.0
- the calibration the Base map that came with Kmanager
(k20A2 with ITR cam and COLD air Intake)

- a datalog not able to datalog yet as my laptop just broke
- what sort of vehicle you have (1997 CIVIC DX hatchback)
- what sort of ECU you are using (PRB Kpro)

- anything about the car which has been modified from stock NOModification at all besides a cold air intake
still running stock CIVIC DX exhaust

- a specific description of the problem
the car Jerks between 4200-4500 rpm for a split second with KPRO
while no such issue with TYPE R PRC ECU

it feels like the car timing is retarded
