datalog help!!!!

Post by cvcrtonv »

Alright so I set up my car to datalog via a manual datalogging switch, enabled it in the software (vtec pressure & tried brake switch)and I'm not having any luck. I hit the switch datalog for 40 sec and when I go to download the datalog, 2 pop up with no data. The only thing I can think that may cause an issue is that I dont have the suppression diode wired in the pwn yet.

This is what I checked:

-live datalog works fine and will record
-j12 is cut in the ecu
-car has #7 resistor plugs
-like new oem wires and dizzy cap
-good grounds on motor, tranny and thermostat
-I wired(to switched ground) datalog switch and burnnot limiter switch the same and the burnnot limiter works fine so I figure the wiring is ok.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Put the diode in and see if that helps. Also, what version of sofware are you using from Help, About?

I'm using the newest version 1.4.7. Have u heard of this problem before? I'm going to turn the boost control off and see if that changes anything. Thanks for the reply

So I shut off the boost control/pwm and tired to datalog. 5 popped up and they all don't make sense. Really high rpm, boost etc. I post the datalog and let me know what u think.I also saved a normal live datalog that is correct.

alright so I changed the input from power steering to ac and it works now. I was told the canadian ecu doesn't have the power steering components in it so thats why it didn't work.
