my car is a 98 honda prelude base
setups are
gt35r turbo,
1000cc rc injectors
synapse 40mm wg
hondata s300
boosting 18 psi
running e85
gm 3 bar map
my question is . could a bad or defected ecu make you run hella rich?.. my wideband is reading 10 on idle. and the car smells like a gas station. the engine idles at nearly 0 rpm it shakes and rattles and even dies sometimes.
ok before this happen , i was using a friend's p28 ecu without pwm components. i had my tuner tune the car for e85. everything was perfect. then the next week i bought a virgin p72 ecu from some guy. i had a shop professionally socket the ecu along with pwm components. then i swap ecus and gave my friend his p28 back to him . the car drove fine until my tuner started to tune it. he added launch control, secondary tables and enable boost control. then the car started acting up. after the tune it seemed fine. after i turn the car off and back on , the engine will idle really low and rich and misfiring. if ilet it idle long enough the problem will go away by itself and then it will idle normally at 900rpm with wideband at 12-13.
ive checked all fuses and hoses. everything seems fine . could i have a bad p72 ecu?
