Mods:
*fidanza flywheel on the tranny
*AEM V2 intake with custom apexi filter and heatshield
*Nology hotwire sparkplug wires with capacitors,
*Custom exhaust, Cat to atmosphere with a Y pipe to the stock exahust, with a buttefly valve to regulate backpressure realtime.(muscle car trick)
*Hondata intake low heat transfer gasket
*Hyper ground system
Goal:
I have been tuning the ignition, compensating fuel (temp comp too)with my datalogs, and adjusting backpressure. The only thing i havent done is change the Cam angles, which I dont know where to start since I have never dynoed and dont know what the goal would be... since ignition advancing is all based on knock count (which ive done tuning by each table/angle rather than all tables at once) and i hardly have any knocks after recent tunings.
I've reached the point where my advancing in ignition is above 50 Deg, so I think this is as good as it gets without changing the cam angles. also I dont think being that high in ignition is safe...
As well as Open versus Closed loop options... it says to use open while tuning... but does this mean dyno or datalog? im assuming dyno.
I'm not new to cars or inventing and testing technological innovations with cars, but I am a bit new to tuning cams and a k-pro (trial and error for about a year).

OMG i have never seen that much IGN advance before !!!
You know what you are doing,
Do you run on racing fuel or am i missing anything?
Could you please provide a datalog?
Do it in open loop if you think your map is safe,
because in open loop the ECU is using your fuel maps all the time.
in closed loop the ECU is using your Oxygen sensor until 80kPa MAP,
so its useless for AFR tuning.
regards!

i thought i did I've managed to remove 99% of knocks but I should of tuned in open loop. But after the last 2 deg, i didnt notice anymore power so I stopped and didnt like overlap in ignition but it didnt seem to do anything, but its probably the closed loop.
But whats the point of tuning in open loop if as soon as I am finished tuning and set it to closed loop its going to ignore the maps anyway?
Adding and removing fuel as well as tuning out knock points was working for me and the car runs nice and i enjoy the throaty sound when down shifting. How do you tune to the point it shoots flames when switching gears? any idea?
Yea I'll tune it down just incase and run a datalog in open loop this time. I'll post it as soon as I get it down.
no I'm not running anything above 92 octane (premium Only).
