How to run oil Temp & Presure Sensors with S300 ???

Post by Turbo-LS »

Hey guys im stumped. I want to get an oil temp and oil pressure sensor and wire them to my hondata s300 for logging and also to display on my tunerview. I picked up an autometer ful sweep temp sensor but its a resitance style sensor so i m unable to use this with the hondata. i need a voltage style sensor do they exsist for temp sensors? i was looking at the aem temp sensor but not sure it that does voltage or resistance. can someone please point me in the right direction.

Also need to know how to wire this to the ecu. i know to use the inputs d12 and b6 and setup the voltage table in the settings in hondata but do i run power to those inputs through the sensor or a ground to those inputs through the sensor. im assuming voltage but i want to be sure. thanks for any input.

I'm running the Autometer #2246 senders for oil pressure and fuel pressure. I have no information on temp senders that'll give the voltage output for Hondata.

I have tapped into the power (5V) and grounds for the TPS to feed these 2 senders, and run the signal output from the sender to D12 and B6. Then I've set up the tables as you already mentioned.

I am also displaying the outputs on my HR Tuning Tunerview II display, so this kind of substitutes for gauges. I'm still having trouble with the fuel pressure displaying properly, but it's not a Hondata problem because the datalogs are showing the correct numbers. It's something to do with the Tunerview.
