Can't connect to the ecu

Post by davisj3537 »

The only number on the ecu is 37820-prb-305 2054-100278
1.4.0.0 Kpro on a 04 rsx type s.

I just switched out the fuel pump to a new walbro 255 and put on some 1000cc injectors. Loaded a cal and it ran poorly so I thought I would start with the injectors. I pulled them off and put the stock ones back on. I hopped on the laptop to upload a new cal with the stock injectors and I couldn't connect to the ecu. I followed the troubleshooting procedures and the usb drivers don't seem to be the problem. I removed kpro from the laptop completely in safe mode and downloaded the latest version and tried updating the usb drivers again and it still wont connect. What is my next step?

Since you swapped the injectors, double check your injector ground to the valve cover. If it's not making contact at all the ECU won't connect; if it's making poor contact it won't work properly.

I found it. I'm not sure why I didn't check the ecu fuse first. I must have grounded it out when I disconnected the battery? One blown fuse caused hours of stress.lol.

I'm still kinda wondering why the car ran sooo badly with 1000cc injectors. I plugged in the cc into fuel trim in kpro...is there something else I'm supposed to do? They were grounded well.

the inectors are injector dynamics; I didn't search for it but I'm guessing maybe they aren't compatible with kpro? Just seems weird they ran soo poorly?
